What personal information does Robi collect from its Users and its purpose?

When subscribers use this website, Robi collects and store the personal information provided by the subscriber. Robi’s primary goal in doing so is to conduct internal research on the subscriber’s demography and interest to provide a safe, efficient, smooth and customized experience as well as to protect the subscriber’s interest. This allows Robi to provide services and features that are most likely to meet the subscriber’s needs, and to customize the web site to make subscriber’s experience safer and easier. Importantly, Robi only collects personal information about and related to subscribers that it considers necessary for achieving this above mentioned purpose.

  • Robi may also collect non-personal information about subscriber’s visit to the Site, and other similar sites based on their browsing (click-stream) activities. This information may include the pages subscriber browsed and products and services viewed or ordered for example.

How Robi uses subscriber’s personal information?

Robi’s primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide subscribers with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Robi may use subscriber’s personal information to:

  • Administer Robi TV+ service (Website,App)
  • Deliver ordered products, provide the services and customer support you request
  • Resolve disputes, securing payments against purchase, and troubleshoot problems
  • Customize your experience; detect and protect us against error
  • Prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities, and enforce our Terms of Use

  • Send e-mail notifications to subscribers which they have specifically requested
  • Subscriber’s feedback, ratings and associated comments may be displayed for the enhancement of Robi TV+ service (Website, App) and in-depth understanding for other visitors. If subscribers access Robi sites from a shared computer or a computer in an internet café, certain information about subscribers, such as their Log In ID, activity or reminders from Robi TV+ service (Website, App), may also be visible to other individuals who use the computer after them.

Our Disclosure of Your Information

Robi doesn’t sell or rent subscriber’s personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without their explicit consent. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist Robi in operating Robi TV+ service (Website, App), conducting its business, or servicing subscribers, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. Robi may combine subscriber’s information with information it collects from other companies and use it to improve and personalize its services, content and advertising. If subscribers don't wish to receive marketing communications from Robi or participate in its ad-customization programs, they simply need to indicate preference in ''My Account' or by following the directions provided with the communication or advertisement. However, non-personally identifiable visitor’s information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Robi may disclose personal information to respond to legal requirements, enforce its policies, respond to claims that a listing or other content violates the rights of others, or protect anyone's rights, property, or safety.   • Other third parties whom subscribers explicitly ask Robi to send their information (or about whom subscribers are otherwise explicitly notified and consent to when using a specific service)
  • Law enforcement or other governmental officials, in response to a verified request relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity. In such events, Robi will disclose information relevant to the investigation.
  • For any confidentiality agreement between Robi and any other organization, Robi in its sole discretion believe necessary or appropriate in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, piracy, or other unlawful activity. In such events, Robi will disclose necessary information.
  • Other business entities, should Robi plan to merge with or be acquired by that business entity. (Should such a combination occur, Robi shall require that the new combined entity follow this privacy policy with respect to subscriber’s personal information. If subscriber’s personal information will be used contrary to this policy, they will receive prior notice)
  • Without limiting the above, in an effort to respect subscriber’s privacy and its ability to keep the community free from bad actors, Robi will not otherwise disclose subscriber’s personal information to law enforcement, other government officials, or other third parties without a court order or substantially similar legal procedure, except when it believes in good faith that the disclosure of information is necessary to prevent imminent physical harm or financial loss or to report suspected illegal activity.

How does Robi protect visitor information?

Robi TV+ service’s platform (Website, App) is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make subscriber’s visit to Robi site as safe as possible.

Subscriber’s personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.
